About Elizabeth Critchley
“Dream big, train well, finish strong.” These are the words of Elizabeth Critchley, Life Coach and owner of Critchley Coaching. She lives them in her personal life, she believes them for all of her clients and she is committed to helping others put them into practice in all areas of their lives.
Through coaching, Elizabeth skillfully asks the questions that encourage clients to examine who they are 'being' in their world. By choosing who they are being, clients are easily able to commit to goals that create lives and businesses that far exceed what they could have imagined otherwise.
Elizabeth is a professional, certified Life Coach. Her training and certification is through CTI (Coaches Training Institute). She is also affiliated with and certified through the International Coach Federation. Elizabeth coaches individuals in both their professional lives and in their personal lives as well as facilitating workshops.
Elizabeth’s background and passion has been that of an inspirational teacher in a successful career spanning three decades. She was awarded the Pan Canadian Student Choice Award for Excellence in Teaching. Her career has now moved from impacting students in a school setting to helping individuals to have impact in their own lives.
She has been happily married to Jim for 37 years. She has two grown children, Kaitlyn and Greg.
Outside of her coaching practice, Elizabeth is an avid runner and cyclist. Her favourite way to start a day is to take a run in the foothills of the Rockies as the sun rises. She competes in races ranging from 10 km to the marathon. To date, she has completed 10 marathons including 3 Boston Marathon finishes. Her most recent trip to Boston included running the marathon with her son Greg. This had been a long time shared goal of theirs.
She and Jim love to travel. Favourite trips have been across Canada, to many places in the USA, to the UK and Australia to visit their daughter Kaitlyn, and to Kenya to visit the Building Hope Project. This year she is focusing on Canada 150, traveling to see the sights of the country she loves to call home! She treasures time spent with friends and she is always on the lookout for the perfect piece of chocolate!
Elizabeth is the founder and president of the RDL Building Hope Society; a charitable organization that is presently building schools in Kenya. The dream of this society is to allow every child in the world the opportunity to have an education.
